    PUNISHMENT PROBLEMS

    징벌 문제

     
    Many parents have tried
    to use punishment
    to control behavior.

    많은 부모는 통제 행동에 징벌을 사용하기 위하여 해봤다.

     
    Too many parents have been
    caught in a trap
    by relying on threats or punishment
    they couldn't or wouldn't deliver.

    너무 많은 부모는 함정안에 할 수 있지 않으나 배달하지 않을텐데 징벌 또는 위협에 의지해서 붙잡았다.

     
    Threats of punishment
    cause inconsistency.

    징벌 원인 모순의 위협.

     
    We parents and teachers often
    promise or threaten a lot more
    than we deliver.

    우리는 아이를 기르고 우리가 배달한다보다는 교사는 수시로 아주 많게 약속하나 위협한다.

     
    Punishment only works
    if rarely used.

    희소하게 사용해 만약에 징벌은 단 일하지 않는다.

     
    A punishment may work
    one or more times.
    징벌은 한개 이상 시간을 일할지도 모른다.  
    Parents tend to repeat
    punishment several times
    until it loses its effectiveness.

    그것의 효과를 잃을 까지 부모는 징벌을 몇 시간 반복한것을 간다.

     
    The resulting inconsistency
    hurts the child's sense of security
    and self-confidence.
